THE VIDEO: For years the PW's have wanted to make a music video. Finally they had the right tools, talent, and song to go for the whole sha-bang. They wanted to create a video for the track "Take it In Stride" that captured the bands raw sound, imense emotion, and great humor. They teamed up with pal, graphic designer/director Michael Struass to shoot the video. On a cold and rainy night on November 9th, during a live show the video was shot. With 4 camera's on the PW's Strauss gathered a lot of film. After compiling the film together, the endless editing began. During the next upcoming weeks the "movie" scenes were shot, with Mikey PW as the main, and only role in the video. THE CONCEPT: The video pays homage to one of Mikey PW's favorite movies, JOHN CARPENTER's THEY LIVE. The sci-fi cult film stars Rowdy Roddy Piper and is about a man who stumbles onto a pair of sun glasses that enables him to see aliens that are brainwashing the human race. We highly recommend one viewing the film to further the humorous entertainment value of the video itselt. |
